Through creatively executed launch campaigns, thought leadership initiatives and reputation management, Kristien has developed and executed the communications strategies of numerous clients, ranging from production companies and animation studios to health care providers and edtech companies. She is a keen, C-level strategist whose unique background combines agency public relations, in-house communications and journalism.

Kristien has been instrumental in launching TV channel brands around the world, her efforts generating significant results for AMC Networks’ Sundance Channel and WE tv, for which she garnered extensive, targeted publicity throughout Asia and Europe. Understanding the evolving technologies and platforms creating new opportunities for channel brands, she also helped MGM roll out its digital channels.
With a background steeped in animation and pop culture, Kristien has achieved great success for such recognized IP franchises as Yu-Gi-Oh!, BEYBLADE BURST, Anime Network, Tokyopop, My Little Pony and Strawberry Shortcake, to name a few.
Before working in corporate communications and agency PR, she was a journalist whose portfolio includes multiple features in Daily Variety and other entertainment publications. A UCLA graduate with her degree in English Literature, Kristien is a lifelong thrill-seeker with a passion for hiking, skiing, food, wine and travel.
